And so it begins

I had a chat with the ever lovely Lillie Frances, owner of the Laugh Out Loud Theater, on Saturday. Lillie is an amazing person and gives wonderful advice, so when she recommended I pick up the book The Artist’s Way, I all but ran over to Barnes and Noble.

The Artist’s Way gives you the tools to unlock your blocked creativity and to live the life you long to live. To say the book is already changing my life would be an understatement. In two days I already feel lighter, intently focused and completely unrestricted. Each morning you have to write three pages longhand. Nothing you write has to be prolific or funny or inspiring. The whole point is to just write. It’s weird how much comes out when you’re not censoring yourself. Thoughts that I never knew I had come pouring onto the page. It’s cathartic and liberating. The weird thing is, the lurking questions that plague my mind are finally down on paper. It seems that the moment I put them out there, they started solving themselves. Like, really fast. Like in a matter of hours.

Ask and you shall receive. I can high five to that.
