Don't take the 101

Hello! As promised, here is a summary of my trip to the amazing and wonderful Los Angeles, California.

So going to LA marked my first ever plane ride. In normal Alexa style, I did it by myself. I started to have a bit of a panic attack when boarding the plane but take off was smooth. I kind of got teary-eyed when we were in the air because I had conquered one of my biggest fears [flying]. Landing was like jumping onto a cloud. I get into LAX [a place I’ve always wanted to go] and it’s warm. It’s nighttime and it is warm. LA already won me over. To make it better, John was standing by the exit with a sign for me.

I finally felt home.

In a blur of palm trees [my new favorite object, just beating out cheesecake by a couple hundred no calories] we drove around and ended up going to Ralph’s and In-n-Out Burger. The rest of the week is a blur of waking up to daily sunshine and beautiful weather. We walked to Denny’s on one of the first days. One of my favorite things about CA is all the Denny’s they have out there. Can you say match-made in heaven? [Google translator can, in like every language].

Beside spending every moment possible with John, the one thing I really wanted to see was a celebrity. I was not disappointed. On the night we went to Hollywood to see the stars, Chinese Theater, Ripley’s, Guinness and the Wax Museum we see none other than Anders from Workaholics. That’s right. It was so awesome! Me being me I was so flabbergasted all I could do was point at him open-mouthed. He raised his eyebrows at me and kept walking with his girlfriend. Beside from that magical moment, here is a list of some of the other stuff we did:

·         Went to a taping of Craig Ferguson
·         Hiked up to the Hollywood sign
·         Dominated Universal Studios
·         Went to Laguna Beach, Venice and the Santa Monica Pier
·         Ate at Pink’s Hotdogs
·         Went to Disneyland and the California Adventure Park
·         Saw Wreck It Ralph [which was incredible]

Overall, my time in LA changed me. I feel like a different person being back now. Maybe traveling does that to you; changes your view on the world and changes your outlook. I know that my experience out there was the push to everything I want. The best part was being with John every minute I could. Forever my best friend and partner.  Long distance sucks ball tits, but it makes you appreciate the time you're allowed with each other.
