You can be impressed...don't count on it though

I was going through some old stuff I had written a few years ago. Most of my writing is just snippets of stories that I never get around to finishing. I like capturing little moments and letting your imagination take care of the rest of the story anyhow. Here’s something I found in an old notebook from college:

Because it’s unfair that you get to decide when it’s okay to feel this way. You don’t get to choose when love happens. It just does. It already has. That’s why you’re scared. That’s why you’re pushing me away. Because you know you feel it. You feel it when you think of me, when we’re together and mostly when we’re apart. You know that tug you get when you miss me? That’s love. That’s love pulling you back to me. Warning you how it’ll be if we’re not together. Hey, I don’t mind waiting forever for you. But I can’t wait forever and a day. It seems like you’re always going to need that day.
